Inner Sunset GBD Boundary Map

The purpose of this webpage is to organize outreach Inner Sunset Green Benefit District (ISGBD). In canvasing the area and talking to neighbors pick a block by block number. Let me know at [email protected] and I will put your name in the table below showing that block has been cover. In blocks that are partial you only have to do that which is in the red area but use the block number as indicating you have covered that partial.

The block numbers in the table are linked to pdf of property information for each block. While information is intended to assist outreach efforts, it may also help you to get to know some of your neighbors.

For most blocks there will be some property owners that you can't reach. If you note which properties were missed, we may be able to reach these properties with a follow-up mailer.

The purple area is merchant. There is a separate tracking table for merchants below. Use the same block number and indicate whether you are covering merchants, homeowners, and or both.

I think we should get homeowners and merchants to put up NO on Inner Sunset Green Benefit District with this website, http://innersunset.org, on the sign where people that can get further information.

The key is to get neighbors to talk to each other. The more that we recruit to cover a block or talk to merchants, the better.

See Mei's Tips for Outreach to Neighbors

The property information was derived from public records on file at the SF Assessor's office. We have found that there is a small amount of missing data.

Many property owners in the Inner Sunset are unaware of the proposed Inner Sunset Green Benefit District (GBD). It is up to us to reach out to our neighbors so they can develop an informed opinion of the proposal.

Some people will favor the proposal, and that's fine. We believe most people will oppose it once they understand the details.

Although all the information is public, we would appreciate that this page remain confidential. The information is far more accessible here than on the Assessor's website. Please do not post links to this page. Share the page address with discretion. Thank you!

Get to know your neighbors!

Mei's Tips for Outreach to Neighbors

Hello All - What I have been doing in reaching out neighbors....

1.  Pick a block (1855 - my own block) from Roger's homeowner's block list.

2.  Separate the list between absentee owners and owners who live at the property.

3.  For those neighbors who live at the property:

4.  For absentee owners:

I have been working on the Mailer returned list. Individual records in Fastpeoplesearch also include "Previous addresses". I find some neighbors have other properties within the district from the previous address list (confirm with the Planning website). When I call, I will also tell them their other properties will be affected. I think we also need to update such information on the block list. Even though I don't handle the whole block, if I already talked to the owner for 1 parcel/address, this should be noted. We can't afford duplicate efforts. How to update records for each block will be a challenge. Before starting a new block, please check the block outreach records to see if a parcel in that block has been covered.

Hope this makes sense. So far, I only have one absentee neighbor who told me she was busy, did not want to talk and hang up on me. Most are friendly and thank me. For those I really can't locate them, I won't spend too much time on finding them.
